Personal tax (T1)
We file T1 personal tax returns for Canadian residents — owner-operators, founders, executives, and high-earning individuals. Our typical client has more than just a T4: they have business income, investment income, rental income, foreign income, capital gains, optimization opportunities, or all of the above.
Returns are prepared, reviewed by a CPA Ontario member, walked through with you before filing, and submitted electronically with proof of acceptance.
Specifics
Corporate tax (T2)
T2 corporate tax returns for Canadian-controlled private corporations (CCPCs) and Canadian-resident corporations. We work primarily with operating companies, holding companies, and investment companies — not large public corporations.
Specifics
HST/GST
HST/GST registration when you cross thresholds, ongoing filing, and the structural questions (place of supply, input tax credits, zero-rated supplies, exempt supplies) that quietly cost businesses money when handled wrong.
Tax planning
Tax filing is what happens after the year is over. Tax planning is what happens before, when decisions can still move outcomes meaningfully. We work with our regular clients on:
Frequently asked questions
Can you handle complex T1 returns with foreign reporting?
Yes — including T1135 foreign income verification, T1134 foreign affiliate reporting, and the foreign tax credit work that comes with multi-jurisdictional residents. We coordinate with your tax advisor in the foreign jurisdiction where needed.
Can you represent us in a CRA audit?
Yes — for routine CRA reviews, audit responses, and pre-assessment reviews, we represent clients directly. For Tax Court matters or complex appeals, we coordinate with a tax litigator.
What's your filing deadline policy?
We commit to filing on time when documents are received by our internal deadlines (typically 21 days before the CRA filing deadline). Late documents may push filing into an extension.
Do you handle estate or trust returns?
Yes — T3 trust returns, terminal T1 returns for deceased persons, and estate-related work. Coordinate with your estate lawyer where applicable.
